Family lead tributes after tragic death of ‘beautiful young girl’ and Irish TikTok star

Tributes are pouring in for a 17-year-old TikTok star from Co Limerick after her tragic death.

Leah (Ailyeah) Cantillon is being remembered as “an amazing and gorgeous girl” who “was perfect in every way”.

The teenager, from Corbally outside Limerick city, was well-known as a popular TikTok star with almost 128,000 followers and 3.1 million likes.

Her family have led tributes, with her brother saying: “RIP my beautiful baby sister til we meet again. Give daddy a hug and kiss for me.

“It’s not goodbye forever I’ll cherish our memories til I take my last breath. I love you Lee I’m gonna miss you.”

Friends have also been remembering the young girl.

One said on social media: “A beautiful young girl with an amazing future in front of her. Taken too soon. Rest easy.”

A second wrote: “A complete model of a girl, had her whole life ahead of her. The nicest girl you could ever talk to was perfect in every way.”

A third said: “Leah Cantillon was an amazing and gorgeous girl, can everyone share pink hearts around to show their respect for Leah.

Another added: “Rest in peace Leah Cantillon. Genuinely from the bottom of my heart can’t believe it, I really can’t.

“She was the best-looking young one to walk through Limerick and that’s a fact. I always thought there was nothing like her, a real life Barbie Doll is what she was. God love her and to call her unbelievable would be an understatement.”

Tributes have also been pouring in from Leah’s TikTok followers and members of her local community with condolences being paid to her family.

One person said: “An unbelievably tragic loss to Limerick. Leah you are so beautiful, I have a daughter of your age and I can’t imagine the heartache your family are going through. You are now at peace sweetheart, please mind and watch over your family and friends.”

A second said: “I didn’t know Leah personally but she is all over my TikTok and I have no words. I am so so sorry for your loss, she was too perfect for this awful, cruel world. Sleep tight beautiful angel.”

A third wrote: “So so sorry for the passing of Leah, what a beautiful young lady she was.

“Leah’s passing has touched so many people in limerick. As a mammy myself my heart is just broken for ye all, so heartbreaking I hope her gentle soul can rest in peace.”

Another wrote: “Gone at such a young age, your memory will live forever and you will never be forgotten and you will always be loved by those you left behind. Sleep well my sweet.”

While someone else said: “Rest in peace Leah u were the nicest girl ur with ur daddy now with the angels look down on ur family and friends.”

Leah will be laid to rest following a funeral Mass at St Mary’s Church, Athlunkard Street, on Friday at 11am.
