Art exhibit from Texas to NYC celebrates Black hair with selfie museum

An artwork exhibit focused on Black hair has been to Atlanta, Austin, Texas the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia region, Los Angeles and by the close of summer season 2022, Brooklyn.

Designed by friends Alisha Brooks and Elizabeth Austin-Davis to make Black men and women experience acknowledged, The Black Hair Encounter capabilities hairdryers, salon chairs as well as much larger-than-life hair clips and ponytail holders Black women however rock on the playground these days.

The duo claimed just one of the toughest pieces of pulling the museum together was the pushback from some landlords who failed to want to rent spaces to them in spite of them having the cash.

In accordance to Austin-Davis and Brooks, a few landlords explained their demographic was not in the place, they weren’t likely to be thriving and sometimes, ignored them completely. The pair stated it occurred in each city they tried using to take the museum to, like Atlanta and the District of Columbia space.
