In 2019, the Black community took up 14.7{5c5ba01e4f28b4dd64874166358f62106ea5bcda869a94e59d702fa1c9707720} Pearland’s population. Now, the city is home to roughly 23,000 Black and African American people, a 4 percent increase within the last three years.

As the population grows, there is more interest in businesses catered to and owned by Black people. From restaurants to marriage counselors to hair salons, check out these 15 Black-owned businesses in the area.

BLCK Market | Clothing Store

Curated to the Black American experience, the retail store allows small businesses and entrepreneurs to showcase their products and brands to consumers.

Pearland African Depot and Grocery | Supermarket

The first and only African food market in Pearland specializes in African, Caribbean and Asian grocery products that are freshly harvested. The grocery store offers free delivery service to shoppers who have an invoice of $400 and up.
